How to Flash/Install CM11 Beta 7 Android 4.4.2 KitKat on T-Mobile Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 Custom ROM/Firmware. Temasek’s Unofficial build for CyanogenMod 11 has been updated to a newest build that is CM11 Beta 7 for T-Mobile Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 variant. For those who are already running CM11 on their T-Mobile Galaxy S3 can simply download the CM11 zip file from below and flash it using CWM or TWRP Custom Recovery. And for those who are either running Stock firmware or any other Custom Firmware, they need to perform a Factory Reset and then install CM11. You will find the whole tutorial below. However, for beginners, it is recommended that you read the whole tutorial before installing this ROM on your device.

How to Install CM11 Beta 7 Android 4.4.2 KitKat on T-Mobile Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 Custom ROM:

Note: Use CWM Recovery v6.0.4.3 or higher OR TWRP Recovery to v2.6.3.3 or higher to flash this ROM. (You will have a “set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed” error if you don’t)

Step 1 – Download the above mentioned files for Galaxy S3 to your computer or download them directly to your phone.

Step 2 – Connect and mount your Galaxy S3 USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.

Step 3 – Now copy/paste the downloaded cm-11-20131122-beta7-d2tmo_d2att.zip and Google Apps Zip file to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the SD card root (not in any folder).

Step 4 – Then turn OFF your phone and disconnect from the USB cable.

Step 5 – Now to get in the Recovery Mode. Switch ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons together.

Step 6 – Once you are in ClockworkMod Recovery, select perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset” as shown below. Use the Power button to select everything while in the Recovery Mode.

Step 7 – Then, perform a cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition” as you can see in the image below.

Step 8 – Now this is optional, but it is recommended to perform a wipe of your dalvik cache as well. You will not get into boot loops or any other errors. From CWM recovery, go to ‘advanced’ and then select “wipe dalvik cache”.

Step 9 – Then go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card”.

Step 10 – Now select “choose zip from sdcard” as shown below. Using your volume keys, navigate to the cm-11-20131122-beta7-d2tmo_d2att.zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Setup will start now.

Google Apps: Repeat the above step for the Gapps zip file as well and install it on your phone.

Step 11 – After the installation completes, Reboot your phone by selecting “Reboot system now” from ClockworkMod Recovery menu as shown in the picture below. It might take a couple of minutes on first boot. So, be patient.

That’s it! Your T-Mobile Galaxy S3 has been successfully updated to Temasek’s Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 Beta 7 Android 4.4.2 KitKat Custom ROM! Go to Settings > More > About Device to verify. Let me know if you had any problem during the installation process.
